The NFL is less than one week away from starting its regular season
and one player who is very excited about his chance of playing is Pittsburgh Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett.
Pickett, who was the starting quarterback of the Pitt Panthers may still be named the starting quarterback for the Steelers in the coming days.
While he waits to know for sure, he is preparing like one as he adjusts to the NFL.
“A lot more goes into it,” he said. “Preseason games you are focused more on yourself than the opponent.
Now we’re starting to get into Cincinnati and game planning and scheming, seeing what we want to do versus them, so it’s definitely an adjustment.”
Pickett has been very impressive during the preseason, completing 29 of 36 passes for 261 and three touchdowns,
which is why many NFL experts feel he will be named the Steelers starting quarterback soon.
